Imperial angelfish
One of the most widely distributed angelfish species, found from the Red Sea and East Africa to Hawaii, the Tuamotu Islands and New Caledonia. Easy to spot in many snorkeling destinations, for example in Egypt, Seychelles, Réunion Island and the Great Barrier Reef.
As most of angelfish species, Pomacanthus imperator go through dramatic aspect changes with growth, and the juveniles are colored very differently from the adults.
